    Programme Manager in the Accounting Subject Group in the College of Business and Finance   [RF: 2024/25-FT-138-JDB]

     

    Duties: The appointee will assist the programme leader in planning, developing, managing, and promoting full-time and part-time Accounting related programmes.  The scope of duties includes programme development and promotion, preparation of course materials, teaching, liaison with students, teachers and professional bodies, preparation of annual budget and monitoring reports.  In addition, he/she will serve in School committees or working groups, and perform other academic and administrative and management duties such as preparation of programme development plan and promotion plan, attend meetings, invigilation, and manage the subject unit as required.

    Requirements: Candidates should have a Master’s degree with 4 years relevant experience.  Leadership and supervisory skills, ability to manage resources effectively, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and good command of written and spoken English and Chinese are required.  In addition, the appointee must be quality-driven and a good team player.  Candidates who are good at numbers will also be an advantage.

    Terms of Appointment: Salary placement will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  The contract will normally be for 2 years with the possibility of renewal subject to review.  A contract-end gratuity (taxable) will be payable upon satisfactory completion of the contract.  Medical and dental benefits, 18 days’ annual leave and the use of library facilities will be provided where applicable.  The School also provides staff development opportunities.
