    Senior Executive Officer (College Affairs) in the College of Life Sciences and Technology   [RF: 2024/25-FT-145-JDB]

     

    Duties:            The appointee will assist and support the College Affairs Secretary in handling College-wide matters.  The duties of the appointee will include, but not limited to:

    • To provide committee services to programme teams of the College;
    • To provide support services to programme teams in meeting the quality assurance and registry requirements of the School;
    • To perform general administration duties for the offices of the College and the College Secretariat;
    • To assist in the development of work procedures of the College Secretariat;
    • To assist in the preparation and implementation of College-wide activities;
    • To foster and improve the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within the College Affairs Secretariat;
    • To supervise junior staff.

    Requirements: Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree with 6 years’ relevant work experience preferably in the higher education and/or continuing education sector. They should be service-oriented, in possession of good understanding of quality assurance mechanisms in educational setting and the Qualifications Framework, a team player with good interpersonal and communication skills, organised and detail-minded, independent and able to work under pressure.  Candidates should have excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).  Good computer proficiency will be an advantage. 

    (Candidates with less experience will be considered for the grade of Executive Officer)

    Terms of Appointment: Salary placement will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The contract will normally be for 2 years with the possibility of renewal subject to review. A contract-end gratuity (taxable) will be payable upon satisfactory completion of the contract. Medical and dental benefits, 18 days’ annual leave and the use of library facilities will be provided where applicable. The School also provides staff development opportunities.
