Administrative Officer in the Community College [RF: 2024/25-FT-249-JDB]
Duties: The appointee will support the College Associate Vice Principal (Academic Affairs) to manage the Academic Affairs team of the College. Major responsibilities shall include the following:
- Support the documentation work required for HKCAAVQ accreditation
- Handle correspondence between HKCAAVQ (as well as other external parties) and the College
- Provide secretariat support for academic and quality assurance boards and committees
- Support the programme approval, modifications and reviews of programmes
- Support internal and external QA measures
- Handle other matters related to academic affairs
- Assist the CAVP (AA) with annual planning and budgeting of the team
- Any other duties as assigned
Requirements: Candidates should possess a recognised degree with at least 10 years’ working experience preferably in HKCAAVQ related work or in academic quality assurance work in higher and/or continuing education sector. Master’s degree qualification will be an advantage. The appointee should be detail-minded and be able to work both independently and in a team. He/She should possess good interpersonal and communication skills. Strong organisational, analytical, problem solving and supervisory skills, excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), and good computer proficiency are required.
Terms of Appointment: Salary placement will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The contract will normally be for 2 years with the possibility of renewal subject to review. A contract-end gratuity (taxable) will be payable upon satisfactory completion of the contract. Medical and dental benefits, 18 days’ annual leave and the use of library facilities will be provided where applicable. The School also provides staff development opportunities.
