College Lecturer / College Assistant Lecturer (Arts & Humanities) in the Community College [RF: 2024/25-FT-273-JDB]
Duties: Tenable from September 2025, the appointees will deliver quality teaching to students in general education or specialised courses for one of the following areas:
They will assist in Division/Programme/Course management, organise co-curricular activities, support College promotion and admission activities as well as perform other academic and administrative duties.
Requirements: Candidates should have a postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline (a doctorate would be an added advantage) with 2 years’ teaching experience, preferably at tertiary level and with experience in course development/administration. Preference will be given to candidates who possess demonstrated experience in course development/administration, course leadership, curriculum design and development of test papers and course/teaching materials.
Candidates with less qualifications or experience will be considered for the grade of College Assistant Lecturer.
Terms of Appointment: Salary placement will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The contract will normally be for 2 years with the possibility of renewal subject to review. A contract-end gratuity (taxable) will be payable upon satisfactory completion of the contract. Medical and dental benefits, 18 days’ annual leave and the use of library facilities will be provided where applicable. The School also provides staff development opportunities.
