    Programme Executive in Oriental Studies Subject Group in the College of Humanities and Law   [RF: 2024/25-FT-277-JDB]

     

    Duties: The appointee will assist the programme leader in planning, organising and operating various programmes. He/She will also be responsible for managing a team of Executive Assistants who provide support services for the daily operations of the Subject Group.  The scope of duties includes the preparation of promotional materials, admission and enrollment activities, coordination and liaison with students, teachers, and professional bodies, performing academic and administrative duties, maintaining student and course records, and handling student matters and inquiries. He/She will also assist the subject group leader in implementing development plans, preparing annual budgets, and performing other duties as assigned. Overtime work may be required.

    Requirements: Candidates should have a recognised degree with at least 5 years post-degree working experience.  Preference will be given to candidates with programme management and publicity experience.  Candidates should be independent, detail-minded, and able to work under pressure.  They should have strong analytical, organisational and interpersonal skills, excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), and good computer proficiency. Proficiency in the Japanese or Korean language will be an advantage.

    Terms of Appointment: Salary placement will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  The contract will normally be for 2 years with the possibility of renewal subject to review.  A contract-end gratuity (taxable) will be payable upon satisfactory completion of the contract.  Medical and dental benefits, 18 days’ annual leave and the use of library facilities will be provided where applicable.  The School also provides staff development opportunities.
