    Junior Designer in the Institutional Advancement Unit   [RF: 2024/25-FT-309-JDB]

     

    Duties: The appointee will assist and support the Design Manager and the marketing communications team to design and produce various marketing communications materials for the School, which include poster, leaflet, booklet, backdrop, e-banner, electronic direct marketing, print and outdoor advertisement.  Major duties include:

    • Provide creative, design and production support to the marketing communications team and different units of the School;
    • Create and refine designs for print, digital, social media and advertising, as well as marketing events and activities;
    • Coordinate with internal units and production vendors to deliver quality communications materials within timeline;
    • Maintain corporate guidelines for consistency across all visual communications;
    • Stay ahead of design trends and integrate AI tools (e.g., Adobe Firefly, Canva AI, etc.) to streamline workflows and enhance creativity;
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

    · Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Graphic Design or related disciplines. 

    · Candidates with 1-2 years’ relevant experience in graphic design will be of highest priority.

    · Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)

    · Familiarity with AI design tools (e.g., generative AI, auto-layout tools, etc.)

    · Passionate in design with creative mind.

    · Independent, self-motivated, proactive and detail-oriented.

    · A good team player with excellent communication skills, detail-minded and well organized.

    · Able to work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines.

    · Good written and spoken English and Chinese.

    Terms of Appointment: Salary placement will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  The contract will normally be for 2 years with the possibility of renewal subject to review.  A contract-end gratuity (taxable) will be payable upon satisfactory completion of the contract.  Medical and dental benefits, 18 days’ annual leave and the use of library facilities will be provided where applicable.  The School also provides staff development opportunities.
