Senior Executive Officer / Executive Officer in the Maisy Ho Centre for Teaching and Learning [RF: 2024/25-FT-371-JDB]
Duties: The appointee will be responsible for supporting the daily operation of the Centre. He/She will support the organisation and promotion of school-wide events, e.g. international conferences, seminars or workshops for HKU SPACE teachers. Other duties include assistance in different projects administered by the Centre, e.g. Outstanding Teacher Award, HEA Fellowship Programme and Teaching Development Grant, etc. He/She is also required to perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements: Candidates should have a Master’s or Bachelor's degree with at least 6 years’ relevant work experience in tertiary institutions. Experience in organising or coordinating large events will be an advantage. He/She should possess effective organisation and communication skills and be able to work independently and as a team. Strong sense of responsibility, excellent written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), and good computer proficiency are required.
Candidates with less experience may be considered as Executive Officer.
Terms of Appointment: Salary placement will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The contract will normally be for 2 years with the possibility of renewal subject to review. A contract-end gratuity (taxable) will be payable upon satisfactory completion of the contract. Medical and dental benefits, 18 days’ annual leave and the use of library facilities will be provided where applicable. The School also provides staff development opportunities.
