    Executive Assistant II in the Mainland Affairs Office   [RF: 2026/27-FT-026-JDB]

     

    Duties:  The appointee will perform general administration and office duties in the Mainland Affairs Office, including project administration and event coordination of Chinese Mainland activities, administrative and logistics arrangements for Chinese Mainland visitors, delegations and business trips, liaison with internal and external parties, research and preparation of reports and papers, general and telephone enquiries, filing, and other ad hoc duties as assigned.  Overtime work may be required.

     

    Requirements:  Candidates should possess a Higher Diploma or an Associate Degree, preferably a Bachelor’s Degree.  Preference will be given to candidates with 2–3 years of work experience in administration, project management, event management or research.  Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (fluency in Cantonese and Putonghua) with strong interpersonal and communication skills, proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office and Chinese word processing, energetic, detail-minded, organised, ability to work independently and willingness to take up responsibilities are essential.

     

    Terms of Appointment:  Salary placement will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  The contract will normally be for 2 years with the possibility of renewal subject to review.  A contract-end gratuity (taxable) will be payable upon satisfactory completion of the contract.  Medical and dental benefits, 18 days’ annual leave and the use of library facilities will be provided where applicable.  The School also provides staff development opportunities.
