Assistant Registrar in the Community College [RF: 2026/27-FT-036-JDB]
Duties: The appointee will support the College Vice-Principal (Administration) in providing quality support services to students and staff, and in overseeing the recruitment of both local and non-local new students. He/She will lead a team to provide quality administrative support in various areas, including but not limited to student records management, assessment and examinations, financial management and planning, time-tabling, general administration, facilities management, teaching and learning support, as well as communication and information technology support. The appointee will also recommend and implement improvements to College operations, assist in strategic planning and development of the College, serve as secretary to boards and committees, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements: Candidates should possess a recognised degree, preferably a Master's degree with 10 years of relevant experience supervising and managing a sizable number of staff. Relevant work experience in the higher education or self-financing post-secondary education sector, as well as experience dealing with educational bodies (e.g., Education Bureau, HKCAAVQ, secondary schools), is highly preferred. Experience in student recruitment is an added advantage. They should be detail-minded, possess strong analytic skills, and be able to work independently with good problem-solving and time-management abilities. Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills, fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), as well as good AI literacy and computer proficiency are required.
Terms of Appointment: Salary placement will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The contract will normally be for 2 years with the possibility of renewal subject to review. A contract-end gratuity (taxable) will be payable upon satisfactory completion of the contract. Medical and dental benefits, 22 days’ annual leave and the use of library facilities will be provided where applicable. The School also provides staff development opportunities.
