Temporary Research Assistant II (PSC Pre-exam Immersion Enhancement Programme) in Oriental Studies Subject Group in the College of Humanities and Law [RF: 2025/26-FT-230-JDB]
Duties: The appointee will assist the Programme Director in the coordination and administration of the “PSC Pre-exam Immersion Enhancement Programme” (普通話水平測試考前沉浸提升課程)” project. The appointee will provide administrative and coordination support for the project, including promotion and recruitment, handling enquiries and enrolment matters, arranging pre-course diagnostics, and supporting the logistics of the Hong Kong training sessions and the 5-day Mainland immersion component. The appointee will also assist with post-immersion mock assessment arrangements, data collection (e.g. surveys and PSC results tracking) and the preparation of the analysis/summary report.
Requirements: Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Chinese, Education or related disciplines, preferably a Master’s degree. They should have strong written and verbal communication skills in Chinese (both Cantonese and Putonghua) and English as well as good interpersonal and organisational skills. They should be proficient in MS Office and familiar with quantitative research methods, and be able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a project team. Relevant experience in project administration, education/training support, research assistance, or PSC-related training/assessment is preferred.
Terms of Appointment: Salary placement will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The contract will be on temporary basis with expected end date of 31 March 2027.
