Duties:
The appointee will assist in the development, implementation, enhancement, integration and support of the School's ERP systems, web applications and digital solutions. Responsibilities include requirement analysis, system development, testing, technical documentation, user support, deployment support and ongoing enhancement of applications supporting academic and administrative operations. Main responsibilities include:
· Assist in the development and support of the School's ERP systems, including Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM), Oracle Financials systems and related administrative platforms;
· Develop, enhance and maintain web-based applications, portals and APIs for academic and administrative units;
· Participate in digital transformation and AI-related initiatives, including workflow automation, AI-enabled services and system integration work;
· Support system testing, troubleshooting, user support, change implementation and technical documentation; and
· Work closely with team members and users to deliver reliable, secure and user-focused solutions.
The post offers an opportunity to join the Information Technology Services Unit in supporting enterprise applications, ERP enhancement, digital services and AI-related initiatives across the School. The appointee will gain hands-on experience in modern software development, enterprise system support and digital innovation projects.
Requirements:
A Higher Diploma or an Associate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or related disciplines with at least three years' relevant working experience in software development, application support or system implementation; or a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or related disciplines with 1 year of relevant working experience;
· Basic hands-on experience in some of the following technologies: PHP, JavaScript, Python, SQL, HTML/CSS, React.js, Node.js or RESTful API development;
· Basic understanding of web application development, system integration, software testing and technical documentation;
· Knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL or MariaDB;
· Interest in AI tools, emerging technologies and modern software development practices;
· Good analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills;
· A strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work independently as well as in a team; and
The following would be a strong advantage:
· Knowledge of ERP systems, Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM), Oracle Financials systems, or other enterprise applications;
· Exposure to React.js, Tailwind CSS, Docker, Kubernetes, Power BI or similar development and analytics tools;
· Exposure to AI-assisted development tools, AI-enabled applications, chatbots, workflow automation or prompt-based solutions;
· Basic knowledge of cloud or AI services such as Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Vertex AI or related platforms; and
· Knowledge of Google Gemini Enterprise API development, integration or related application development would be an advantage.
Terms of Appointment: Salary placement will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The contract will normally be for 2 years with the possibility of renewal subject to review. A contract-end gratuity (taxable) will be payable upon satisfactory completion of the contract. Medical and dental benefits, 18 days’ annual leave and the use of library facilities will be provided where applicable. The School also provides staff development opportunities.
