College Vice Principal (Academic) in the Community College   [RF: 2026/27-FT-060-JDB]

The HKU SPACE Community College, founded in 2000, offers associate degree, higher diploma and diploma in foundation studies programmes. Total full-time student population of the College is around 15,000. The College is working towards migrating its full-time programmes leading to Associate Degree or Higher Diploma awards to a restructured Cap.320 institution under the management of HKU SPACE. Duties: The College Vice Principal (Academic) will play a key role in the College’s strategic planning, including its intended migration under Cap. 320, and in shaping its academic development. He/She will assist the College Principal in providing dynamic academic leadership, overseeing academic divisions, and managing key academic functions, including curriculum development, programme delivery, quality assurance and accreditation. The appointee will also support initiatives to enhance the teaching and professional development of academic staff.

Requirements: Candidates should have a postgraduate degree (preferably a doctoral degree) and substantial experience in local tertiary education institutions. He/She should have considerable knowledge and experience in curriculum development and quality assurance procedures, in-depth understanding of the Hong Kong higher education system, and good networking with local and overseas universities. Candidates should be forward-looking and have outstanding organisational, influencing, interpersonal and communication skills alongside a strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese.

Terms of Appointment: Salary placement will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The contract will initially be for 2 years with the possibility of renewal subject to review. A contract-end gratuity (taxable) will be payable upon satisfactory completion of the contract.
