    Quality Assurance Manager (in the grade of Administrative Officer) in the Quality Assurance and Enhancement Unit   [RF: 2023/24-FT-517-JDB]

     

    Duties: The appointee will assist in overseeing the School’s Quality Assurance and Enhancement (QAE) measures for approval, changes, and reviews of programmes in all academic units, including liaison with programme teams on programme validation and reviews, programme monitoring and modification, renewal of professional recognition and records, and other QAE measures.  He/She will liaise with programme teams and the Registry Affairs Unit on the overall vetting and approval process in relation to the School’s Internal Qualifications Framework, and coordinate external accreditations and reviews including Initial Evaluation and Programme Accreditation/Re-accreditation of non-local programmes by the HKCAAVQ. He/She will also provide secretarial support to programme validation and approval process and carry out other duties as assigned.

    Requirements: Candidates should possess a recognised degree, preferably a Master’s degree, with at least 8 years' relevant working experience and knowledge in academic quality assurance work in higher and/or continuing education sector, and a thorough understanding of the Hong Kong Qualifications Framework (HKQF).  Experience in the accreditation process under the HKQF is preferred. They should be detail-minded and be able to work independently with good problem solving and time management skills. Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills, excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), and good computer proficiency are required.

    Terms of Appointment:  Salary placement will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  The contract will normally be for 2 years with the possibility of renewal subject to review.  A contract-end gratuity (taxable) will be payable upon satisfactory completion of the contract.  Medical and dental benefits, 18 days’ annual leave and the use of library facilities will be provided where applicable.  The School also provides staff development opportunities.
